Cynar is an artichoke based bittersweet liqueur known for its versatility and distinctive flavour; its taste is enriched by an infusion of 13 herbs and plants. The name of the drink derives from Cynar scolymus, the botanical name for artichoke, as artichoke leaves lend the distinctive flavour.

The secret recipe, which has remained the same since its creation, is based on some of the natural substances found in the artichokes, including ‘cynarine’.

Frangelico is produced in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, and its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of early Christian monks living in the hills of the area. Their skills in fine food and drink would have included the art of distilling, especially the use of the wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur on which Frangelico is based today.

Frangelico’s irresistible hazelnut taste starts with some very special hazelnuts. They even have their own name - Tonda Gentile - and are a speciality of the northern Italian region of Piedmont where Frangelico is produced. In September 2010, Gruppo Campari acquired the brand.

This unique style comes from a rigorous selection of our sugarcanes, crushed within 24 hours of their harvest, and a careful distillation that complies with the pure traditional method in Creole columns, among which one is copper.
 
THE SMOOTHNESS AND SUBTLETY OF OUR AMBER RUMS
Reduced slowly and progressively to 40% alcohol by volume, our amber rums are matured 12 months in oak tuns, according to the AOC Martinique standards. This enables them to develop a nice golden colour and fine woody notes while preserving the crisp taste of sugarcane juice Maison La Mauny rums, aged in oak, are luminous and hearty and remarkable for their delightful savours of spices and warm sugar.

THE WARMTH AND ELEGANCE OF OUR AGED RUMS
Our aged rums are matured for a minimum of 3 years and up to 20 years in oak casks of various origins: new French casks, former Cognac casks from France and former Bourbon casks from the US. Most of Maison La Mauny aged rums are made by blending various types to obtain the finest balance and enhanced aromatic richness.

Born in Martinique in the Lesser Antilles in the eastern Caribbean Sea, Trois Rivières’ Rhum Agricole is distilled from freshly squeezed sugarcane juice.
In existence for over three centuries, Trois Rivières sugarcane plantation is an integral part of Martinique’s heritage.  The saga starts in 1660 when Nicolas Fouquet, superintendent of finances to King Louis XIV, acquires land in Martinique with the intention of building the largest kingdom of the French Caribbean.

The Plantation benefits from an exceptional terroir that retains all the wealth and flavor from the sugarcane and gives Trois Rivières’ rums their character and their rich flavors: over 1,700 acres of land, gently stroked by trade winds, overlook the sparkling sea in the sunniest, far-South part of the island.

From cutting the sugarcane to aging the vintages, Trois Rivières multi-awarded rums meet high standards and rigorous manufacturing methods that go back to the 18th Century and carry the demanding label “AOC Martinique Rhum Agricole”, a designation of controlled quality and origin.

In strict accordance of AOC standards, our amber rums are matured for over 12 months in large-capacity oak tuns.  Slowly and very gradually reduced to 40%, these few months spent in wood impart a superb golden, luminous hue to these delicate rums.
Their taste qualities are particularly smooth: midway between the freshness and bracing effect of white rums and the fullness and complexity of our famous aged rums.

AGING TROIS RIVIERES BECOMES AN ART
Trois Rivières is especially famous for the quality of their aged rums, rare vintages and « Grandes Cuvées ». Our Cellar Master excels in mastering the complex and traditional art of aging and blending, passed down secretly through the generations. Rums are carefully selected and aged for a minimum of three years in oak casks of various origins and capacities. This quest for excellence is reflected in a harmonious and elegant wide range of versatile, robust and complex rums.

Cabo Wabo Tequila was brought to life in 1996 on the back roads of Guadalajara, Mexico. After what seemed like eons of time searching for a tequila of good enough quality to serve at the Cantina and call his own, Sammy Hagar linked with a small Mexican Tequila maker that had been in operation since 1937. Although some of the players have changed since the birth and rise of Cabo Wabo Tequila, it continues to be grown and hand made by a well-established tequila family with deep roots in the tequila fields of Jalisco. In May 2007, Gruppo Campari announced the acquisition of a majority interest in Cabo Wabo Tequila.

Passion, experience and care are the authentic and genuine values that guide Mirto Zedda Piras, a house founded in 1854, produced in Sardinia in Alghero following the traditional recipe: only water, sugar, alcohol and wild Sardinian myrtle berries.
The harvest of myrtle begins in November, a centuries-old, unique and precious tradition - like its homeland, Sardinia - which is renewed year after year to create Mirto Zedda Piras. The typical Sardinian liqueur is obtained exclusively from fresh Sardinian myrtle berries, harvested by skilled hands who know the impervious places of the island, where this spontaneous shrub grows, the fruit of which ripens inland and along the sunny and windy coasts of the island, exclusively on wild shrubs.
Produced in Alghero, Mirto Zedda Piras takes its intriguing character from wild berries picked when ripe and left to macerate in alcohol. The small purplish blue fruits, which dot the Sardinian landscape with the arrival of winter, characterize its color and taste. Thus was born a genuine liqueur, with an intense color and the characteristic scent of Mediterranean scrub.
