The exhibition “The Spiritheque – Behind the stories Beyond the spirits” launches in a project room of Galleria Campari

From May 16th to 31st, at Campari Group's headquarters in Sesto San Giovanni, the unique stories dedicated to Aperol, Campari, Grand Marnier, Appleton Estate and Cynar become real through 6 artworks from The Spiritheque

Milan, May 13, 2022 - The collaboration between Campari Group and Galleria Campari "The Spiritheque – Behind the stories Beyond the spirits" gives life to the first physical exhibition of The Spiritheque dedicated to a selection of works taken from the digital editorial project, born in 2019, with illustrated and animated stories that interpret and narrate the Group's most iconic brands and that become real for the first time.

The exhibition showcases the work of 10 authors and illustrators, from all over the world, who have interpreted, each with their own creative flair, the exceptional stories of 5 brands that have made the Group famous around the world: Aperol, Campari, Grand Marnier, Appleton Estate and Cynar.

Set up inside a temporary project room of Galleria Campari, the six artworks exhibited, printed on Fine Art paper, represent the brands interpreted by the fresh perspective of authors such as Francesco Muzzopappa, Eleonora Gomez de Teran, Alessandro Gemignani, Bryan Levandowski, Vincenza Iovinella and the visual suggestions of illustrators Marianna Tomaselli, Taj Francis, Roberta Maddalena Bireau, Ale+Ale and Laurent Meriaux.

Until May 31st, visitors can finally discover the editorial and creative process that led to the creation of the illustrated tales, which combine historical anecdotes and fictional elements to bring visitors into the world of brands: far more than just spirits with centuries-long stories and secret recipes that are to this day key to their success.

"The first physical declination of The Spiritheque confirms the natural multichannel nature of this editorial project: in fact, visitors will be able to appreciate how the original digital soul of these works gives space to an innovative form of artistry in their physical transposition," comments Enrico Bocedi, Corporate Communications Director of Campari Group. "Thanks to this further step, The Spiritheque follows in the steps of Davide Campari and renews the historic relationship between Campari Group and the world of art and culture, in a way that is always innovative and contemporary."

The “Spiritheque- Behind the Stories Beyond the Spirits” is a free admission exhibition that requires reservations.

THE SPIRITHEQUE IN SHORT

Launched in 2019, The Spiritheque is an editorial and art project featuring 34 illustrated and animated stories created through collaboration with authors and illustrators from around the world.
Halfway between the rediscovery of a secret archive and a virtual art gallery, The Spiritheque was created as a digital platform to narrate places and people, mysteries and suggestions related to the Group's brands, accompanied by graphic interpretations that follow multiple styles of storytelling. The project aims to reintroduce in an innovative and contemporary way the historic bond between Campari and the world of art and culture following in the footsteps of Davide Campari, the entrepreneur who was a pioneer in the world of communication and patron of the arts and whose renowned collaborations with the artists of his time helped build the Campari brand into the icon it is today.
