Milan, 7th December 2021 – Today, 7th December 2021, is another red-letter day for Camparino in Galleria - the iconic Milanese bar - as it celebrates its début in the 50 World’s Best Bars ranking, an annual competition that acknowledges the world’s finest mixology establishments.
The award ceremony was held in London, starting at 19:30 (GMT), at the Roundhouse in Camden Town, which hosted the event celebrating the world’s best bars for the third consecutive year.
Camparino in Galleria, which was included in the ranking for the first time, was awarded 27th position, marking a significant achievement for this establishment that occupies a prominent position in the Milanese social scene and, since its renewal in 2019, has also become a worldwide pioneer for innovative mixology.
With over a hundred years of history behind it, Camparino in Galleria has now consolidated its position as an establishment that is synonymous with the Milanese Aperitivo and innovative mixology at a global level, and that is far more than its refined cocktails and sophisticated atmosphere: a legacy that is intrinsically entwined with the soul of the city of Milan.
Bob Kunze-Concewitz, CEO of the Campari Group, explained: “This award testifies to the efforts of the whole Camparino team, whose enthusiasm and determination have made the venue one of the most prestigious and pioneering in the world. It also rewards the great commitment and investments in excellence by the Campari Group that, in just two years, have made Camparino a world-class leader, consolidating the important role that this historical symbol of Milan has played in creating and exporting the Milanese Aperitivo at international level.”
Tommaso Cecca, Store Manager and Head Bartender of Camparino in Galleria, had this to say about the award ceremony: “Just after celebrating 106 years of Camparino, we are even prouder to be here today to celebrate a great achievement that rewards the efforts of the whole team. From day one, we have accepted the challenge, as well as the great responsibility, of managing what is not just a bar, but an historical reference point for the whole city and that now, thanks to our hard work, represents the finest quality and the highest level of innovation in the world of mixology. After the untiring commitment that we have dedicated to every service, to see Camparino acknowledged as the 27th bar in the world repays everything we do and spurs us on in our daily pursuit of excellence.”
An iconic moment for Camparino in Galleria and a celebration of the Italian Aperitivo ritual and world-class mixology.
